Hey Guys i have lot of hopw from u people . i think u surly help me .First of all sorry if i m doing anything rong or this qestion is asked some where else.I wanted to rip 2 CD 1.36 GB into 1 CD 700 rip ,i m using virtual dub n Gordian Knot .it was worikng fine but i ot some dvd's they saying audio streaminf have different formates .i will be greatfull to u ppl if u wil help me in this.
And i m not good at computers ,so need easy way .

Do you mean split the file into 700MB or "convert" it into a 1CD backup?
If second, best you encode the original DVD again just with 1CD target size. So you won't loose that much quality, like you will if you just re-encode the already encoded and compressed file.
If you don't have the original at hand, well, it sounded like you forgot to demux the avi. You could use VDub to seperate the video and audio stream and then it should work. You'll find plenty of post her or use http://www.doom9.org/virtualdub_procedures.htm.
But again, I guess the proper way is just to encode your original again.

i downloaded move from site it is in 2 CD 1.36 GB n i wanted to convert it 1 CD 700 MB .when i open the file in virtualbud it given error that the audio stream does not match , that mean CD 1 has different formate than CD 2 .
i m using VDmod to remove audio n video n then gordian knot to rip .
