MP4 and subtitles [Archive]

I mux with mp4box subtile in srt format and when i try to play with BSPlayer his detetect this subtitle but this like a catastrophe. I need to use charshet 238 latin. How to force that, and space is show like square. I use Haii media splitter and ffdshow for playback.

ttxt only allows utf-8. i assume you try to force this charset somehow which breaks stuff either during muxing or during playback

are you using ffdshow as subtitle decoder?

i just found out that if you mux an mp4 video with dimensions of mod4 with a srt file, you will see green lines going from the bottom left of the video to the upper right. it displays nomally on videos with mod8 or mod16 though so make sure to crop or resize correctly.

i'm using the lastest haali splitter and vsfilter.
