Hi all, what i did is exactly this:

1) Ripped the original dvd content using dvddecrypter to an iso image
2) burned the iso image with dvddecrypter (without setting nothing special, just the default settings), the only thing i've changed is mode->read iso into mode->write iso
3) iso image was correctly burned, and dvd played fine on my PC with Dvdxplayer (an old version i guess).
4) when i tryed to play the new created dvd on my standalone dvd player (a pioneer DV-370), after the usual "loading disc" message the player told me "no disc" and nothing else happened (I mean the player didn't automatically eject the media). same thing happened on my other philips DVD625 dvd player.

I've used a Memorex Double Layer DVD+R DL, my burner is an LG GSA-4163B (compatibility list include DVD+R DL and is on http://www.cdrinfo.com/Sections/Reviews/Specific.aspx?ArticleId=12429), OS is Windows XP SP1.

Why this strange think could happen? Have I done something wrong? any suggestion in what further check will be very appreciated.

Thanks in Advance

Just reading of some problem some1 else had with this player here:
http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers.php?DVDname=pioneer+dv-370&Submit=Search&dvdplusrdl=1&Search=Search&dvdportable=&dvdchanger=&dvdtv=&chipset=&country=&orderby=Name&hits=25

I have tried to burn 3 DVD+R DL. The first one was burned without bitsetting and dvd player read it but with problems. It skipped the chapter before last one. Then later I tried to burn another one but different title with bitsetting and dvd player read it without any problems. So I tried to burn the third one now with the same title as first one and used bitsetting and player read it a little bit better but still with problems skipping the chapter before last one. So I am rather disappointed.

Now if this could be the problem, it is not clear how to change this "bitsetting" this guy is speaking of, maybe using nero 6.6.xx this could be done?

Thanks again

Hi!

1)If available for your burner (and if your burner doesn't automatically do so), select "bitsetting" from withing DVD Decrypter when you're ready to burn the DVD

2) Select the ".MDS" file, rather than the ".ISO" file when you're ready to burn the DVD - as it will provide layer break information that may be critical for a successful burn

3) I'd strongly suggest you try Verbatim DL DVD+Rs instead of the Ridata media. MANY postings at this and other forums indicate that, presently, Verbatim DL media appears to be the only consistently reliable DL media...

EDIT - My reference to "Ridata" was the result of (shame on me) copying my pot from another thread. However, what I've stated regarding Verbatim DL DVD+R media is very much true versus any other brand, at present...

Well, I was really searching 4 verbatim (although they costs 6 euros, allot more than others), but the man in the store told me that them was finished (and now i can understand the reason :D)

thanks 4 the answer, i'll try the "bitsetting" thing in dvddecrypter.

Cheers
