I saw the Pulpfiction DVD zone 1 And saw something interesting in PTTs.
If you choose any chapter from Scene selection menu, then the Chapters of the are 28 part.(If I remember correctly the movie was in 28 chapters)

But if I choose any chapter from Musics menu, then the movie is about 6 chapters.(If I remember correctly the movie was in 6 chapters for musics)

I want to know can it be done in a DVD?
How can we have 2 method of chapters in a movie ?

For example can we split a movie both in 6 chapters and 28 chapters ?!

Thanks

I don't have the dvd and I haven't understand very well but could be that they use a seamless branching authoring. In particular you have the film and a "ghost" film with less parts/chapters and you can choose one of the two in a seamless way (without a pause). This can be done with particular and expansive hardware or using particular software like TFDVD Edit and DVDStudio Pro (is called "multi story"). Scenarist can "simulate" the effect but in a not seamless way (you'll get a pause between each chapter).

It's easier than that, each title has its own PTT table. So it is very easy to create two titles that use the exact same video, but have different chapters.

Step by step in Scenarist

Create your scenes in scenarist track editor (28 in case of pulp fiction).
Goto the scenario editor.
Assuming we make our scenario in VTS_1 drag the created track to title_1 icon.
- 1 PGC, 28 Programms and 28 cells are created
Rightclick on the VTS_1 icon - add Title.
- Title_2 is created in VTS_1.
In the asset manager click on the + sign of the track to expand it.
Now you can see all 28 scenes.
Drag the first cell (scene) to the Title_2 icon
- 1 PGC, 1 Programm and 1 cell is created
Now drag the second scene from Asset manager to the programm icon.
- second cell is created within the same programm.
Drag the third scene from Asset manager to the programm icon.
- third cell is created within the same programm.
If you want a new programm (chapter) you will have to drag the scene to the PGC icon of Title_2.......

thanks for your help.
But if I do follow the thing you said, then again I have 28 chapters in title 2.
But (for example) I need 8 chapters in title 2.

what bigotti5 described to you will allow you to make 8 chapters for title 2.. i'll try to break what he said down a little more
(1) after creating the title 2 folder, while you go into the Scenario Editor...
(2)in the bottom data/track box.. click tracks. then find the track you want and expand it out [+] so you can see all the scenes in it.. (in our project there are assumed 28)
(3)then drag the first scene to the title 2 yellow folder box. this will create a pgc box below it... a program box below it[chapter 1] and a cell box below it...
(4)now.. next we will create a cell.. to create a cell you will drag the next scene (scene 2) to the program box we just made in step (3). this will create a cell only without a chapter assigned to it.
(5) we can drag scene 3 onto the same program box to create another cell without adding a chapter
(6) now we will drag scene 4 onto the PGC box we created in step (3). this will create a program box assigned chapter 2 and another cell box below it.

basically you keep doing that (making cells and then chapters) until all 28 scenes are layed out. you want to of course pace how often you drop in scenes on the pgc box so that you only have created 8 chapters once you run out of scenes.
