Hello,
is it possible to open video via avs, load the ac3, then cut the commercials and resave the ac3 afterwards with vdubmod or vdub for that matter? (similar way that one would resave the wav).

VD will handle AC3 audio properly as long as you install the AC3 Decompressor (http://www.divxland.org/software.php#codecs) for that matter.

wheelbit, you can certainly use VDMod to cut the commercials out of the AC3. However, some versions of VDMod don't do it for whatever reason. If memory serves, the latest version 1.5.10.2 of VDMod does support that when you put the audio stream in Direct Stream Copy mode. I actually use the older 1.4.13 because I know that verson does it.
