View Full Version : Burning my own AVI file to dvd.....

I Made an AVI file of some racing i was watching, used cyberlink powerproducer to burn it to dvd format, it took about 6 hrs to convert it,i burnt it to a dvd-r disc, tried to play it on my home dvd player, which has played dvd-r discs before, and it says no disc, yet if i play it in my mums dvd player, it works, now i know the naswer seems obvious, but i have another dvd-r i was given and it works on my dvd player, so why not my ones ? its a ronin P90H, DVD, CD, MP3, VCD, SVCDCD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R & DVD-RWMP3 & JPEG On Screen Viewer

Smart Video (Sharpness, Contrast, Brightness)

Multi Angled View

Parental Control with Password

Selectable Screen Aspect Ration (4:3 & 16:9)


any ideas ????

Sounds like a matter of media compatibility. To determine the capabilities/limitations of your specific brand and model of standalone DVD player, as well as media compatibility, go to:

Cheers for link, my dvd player isnt listed, i have submitted it to them tho,Huf :-(

can a dvd player play some dvd-r or dvd+r discs and not tohers, i am using 8x tesco dvd-r, yet the one that works is a 4x DataWrite ??/
