Hi everyone,
I recently testing DVDit software to create DVD,any MPEG2 clip created with TMPG will give an error when buiding DVD! the error message indicate that my MPEG2 file does not have correct GOP sequence header.
I used default DVD template 720x480 cbr 65 with TMPG beta 12a, I also changed settings to VBR, but still having the same problem.
Thank you verymuch for any help or suggestions on this matter.

v2.02 is now up, I'd suggest getting it. No idea if it will solve your problem, but there have been SO many improvements since 12a. IMO there's no reason to still be using the much older versions.
Nice that you mention what version you're using, most people don't.

Make sure you have "output interval of sequence header" set to "1" in the GOP structure tab.

hi,
let's say that after removing unwanted audio tracks, size of vob files is still 5 go, so reencoding the video part is needed to fit a dvd-r.
how do you use tmpg to achieve this goal, is there a smart way to set the correct bitrate because ending with a 3 go set of files isn't the best :)

hi.
for the time being you can't do that. If you want to reduce the size of the VOB by reducing its bitrate you can use only REMPEG. The problem is because there's no remuxing program that can remux your resulting M2V from TMPG correctly yet, you will have an A/V sync problem.
Use REMPEG (but the quality is not so good) to reduce the bitrate and then use IFOEDIT 0.76 to remux & correcting vob, etc.
See the DVD and Mini DVD Authoring forum.
