What is the simplest way of ripping one single frame from a dvd/mpg?
(preferably with the option of browsing through frame by frame until i get to the frame i want)

Play the DVD in a media player like Media Player Classic, goto the wanted frame and hit -> File -> Save Image.

WinDVD and PowerDVD also have a frame image capture button.

Hi!preferably with the option of browsing through frame by frame until i get to the frame i wantIf you've already ripped the DVD to your hard drive, I believe that VirtualDubMOD would be the ideal tool to use...

DGIndex can do it also. Single step to desired frame. Then ESC followed by File/Save BMP.
