Resizing IDX/SUB subtitles

Hi,

I have resized a DVD AVI in order to have the right 16/9 aspect ratio, but since the movie's height is now shorter, I only see the top of the first subtitles line :(

I have tried the vobsub option for moving/resizing the subtitles, but it seems that it only writes the new size/position in the IDX file, while the resizing is made in real time during playback.

The problem is that my stand alone Divx player just ignore the IDX settings.

So, what I need is to physically resize the subtitles bitmaps.

Does someone know a tool which allows this operation?

ocr your subs to srt.
you can adjust the srt with your player

Or you can hardsub your subs with Vdub.
Vdub will read your idx settings.
