I downloaded a dvd rip, but it isn't an iso file, it's the contents of the dvd (probably extracted with dvd decrypter). How do I burn this so it'll play as a dvd?

You read rule 6. It is illegal to copy disks you do not own.

sorry :(

ok, lets say, hypothetically, just for my own personal knowledge, I used dvd dycrypter to back up my favorite movie and I chose file extract insted of iso, then my house burns down and I lose the original dvd, but my computer wasn't lost to the fire. If I want to watch my favorite movie again, how should I go about burning it?

In that case, you should prepare for such an event by making sure your fire insurance policy covers the replacement cost of your original DVD collection.

1st oh my god!, it's a miracle, your pc escaped unharmed

2nd if that's the case, you probably still wouldn't get any help, because you can no longer make copies of movies you don't "owned" (as stated by blutach)

why is it that people know how to download anything, but never figure out what to do with it afterward?
