I encoded a dvd using cce sp 2.70 and now i can't reauthor the movie.

I used Ifoedit, but the authoring proccess stopped at 50% with the error mesage "additional data required but no free space in input buffer". In the ifoedit's FAQ says that is because of a wrong setting at the TMPGEnc encoder, but obviously this not the case with me. So, i turned into Muxman 0.15, but i got another error: "probably exceeding bitrate". The max bitrate i set in cce was 9000 kbps.

The movie i tried to author consists of an m2v file (which playbacks OK), an ac3 5.1 stream (448 kbps) and 3 subpictures streams.
I believe that all setting i 've done in cce were correct. Same at the authoring programs above. The dvd is Kingdom of heaven (pal) region 2.

Could be that some bitrate "spikes" exceeds the maximum allowed bitrate for DVD and a VBV overflow occoured. This could happend in particular if you use custom matrices developed for high bitrates (like Fox matrix).
You could try to lower the bitrate or check the "Equalize each bitrate Gops" setting in CCE.

I had a look at the m2v file with the bitrate viewer and yes, threre are some bitrate spikes that that exceeds 9000 kbps, but the max bitrate for dvd is 9800 kbps. Isn't it? Although, i didn't used custom matrices. What can i do now?

The limit is 9800 Kbps for all (video + audio + subs) so in your case you need to have a bitrate lower than 9800-448-100(about for subpictures) = 9252 Kbps. Like I said, you can try to lower the bitrate to max 8750 or similar. Also please note that I've found Bitrate Viewer quite "approximative" in the value of the detected bitrate (tends to be slower than real bitrate).

Maybe you are right about Bitrate viewer, because it gives me a peak at 9050 kbps only.

I think that the whole problem was caused because i set higher (wrong) Q factor in cce 1 pass vbr encoding.

yes but what if you got this dvd allready in dvd5 format and there is no need to cce it. And dvd plays fine on all dvd components. How to mux this dvd than.
Nowdays i got this problem with muxman in many dvds.
