Hello :)
Maybe that I am mistaken, but It was not announced this year the arrival of the codec Xvid avc?
What is it currently? projects and prospects?

Doom9 might know more but it looks like the project is still too early even for a super alpha release. I do know however than
xvidavc.org and .com point to xvid.org atm so it looks like the release is only a matter of time.

@bond
You must know, one can achieve some things without being ready..
Exception always existed, and nobody can pretend the opposite.

Bond speaks words of wisdom: it'll save everybody's time if most obvious (aka: known) problems are fixed first.

Men are all different.

@Skal
Thank you, that appears clearer to me and less fixed. :)

Currently some standalones read Xvid (without avc) and compatible with Nero Digital(without avc).
My question:
Xvid AVC will it be compatible with Nero AVC?

Currently some standalones read Xvid (without avc) and compatible with Nero Digital(without avc).
My question:
Xvid AVC will it be compatible with Nero AVC?mpeg-4 avc is a video codec standard. if nero avc is compatible to mpeg-4 avc and xvid avc is compatible to mpeg-4 avc, than xvid avc will also be compatible to nero avc
that said, unless xvid avc devs bork anything, xvid avc will be compatible to mpeg-4 avc and therefore also to nero avc and therefore also to any other mpeg-4 avc implementation

I think it's time to put this to bed.
