Hi. I'm buying a Dual Layer DVD burner and , at present, I only have a CD burner.

I was wondering a couple of things:

1) I have read that Nero, since v.6.0, supports the burning of Dual Layer DVD. At present, when I use Nero, I don't see any DVD type , in the 'wizard'. i see CD-ROM (ISO), Audio CD, (S)VCD, CD Extra and all this stuff. Why don't I see any DVD type? It's because I selected a burner without DVD buener capability? Will I have to re-install Nero, for it to recognize the DVD burner and give other options? I'm asking this because I see the same even if I choose the 'image recorder', so the options doesn't seem do depend on the selected burner.

2) I've seen that DVD Decrypter creates also a .MDS file, which is needed to burn a dual layer DVD with it. What does this mean? If I have an .ISO (or two folders on my HD extracted from a DVD: audio_ts [empty] and video_ts [full of files] folders ) will I be able to create successfully a dual layer with Nero, and how?

Thanks in advance.

The version of Nero that came with your CD burner just doesn't allow for DVD burning. A new DVD burner will come with a software that will, but all you need is DVD Decrypter to first copy, then burn (or burn with the more advanced burning version, ImgBurn).
