My PC's CPU is a little slow to play RMVB with MPC+Real10's dll codec. So, is there any other player which cost fewer CPU resource?
In fact I prefer Xvid more than RMVB/RM, but there are always the movie in RMVB format. -_-b

the nice thing about closed formats, like realvideo, is that there is only one implementation you can use ;)

I tried, Mplayer cost same CPU resource as mpc, because they call the same dynamic lib.
Is there any cracked codec of rmvb?

Install real alternative and try either crystal player (http://www.crystalplayer.com/) or jetaudio (http://www.jetaudio.com/) and see if one of those are what you are looking for.

rmvb files eat lots of cpu resources. Especially for those who are still using single core P4 or even Celeron D.
I'd rather use some hardware rmvb player to replace my old computer to play the rmvb/divx files. I've searched through the Google and found this:

Not quite, there are RV9/10 decoders in FFmpeg SVN, but they are still disable since they are incomplete (and thus play with many artefacts). On the plus side, since it is mostly the loop filter that is missing that means it should be faster :p
