Is it possible to backup a movie to a DVD so that the main title is in the beginning to middle of disk to avoid shuddering/pausing at end of movie? If this is possible what program(s) would I need? I am using a good disks - Sony made by Yuden?, I decrypt with DVD Decrypter and PGCedit with plugin and use Shrink. Any ideas?

Hi!
if you're using high quality media (such as the T-Y "Yuden" discs that you state), "shuddering and pausing at the end of the movie" should not result from the location of the movie on the disc.
Rather, your player may be overheating - or may be in need of a cleaning. maxell makes a DVD/CD cleaning disc that retails for about $10US...

What's the media ID code? Have you done a check with DVDInfoPro or Ner0 CD-DVD Speed for errors?
No adhesive labels, I hope.
Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning (http://forum.digital-digest.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=49635).

I have two ID codes; Yuden000-T02-00, sony-D11-00. Disks were checked with VSO Inspector and recently with nero cd-dvd speed, no errors found. I will get the cleaner and try that. I removed InCD and read "golden rules of burning", what is the benefit of ripping to ISO instead of to file mode? I was under the impression that as the files were burned onto the outer portion of disk that the speed might have an effect on quaility. Thank you for your quick and informative (as usual) replies .

what is the benefit of ripping to ISO instead of to file mode?None, unless you have no burning software. In that case, ripping as an .ISO image file will allow you to use DVD Decrypter to burn your DVD...
