Your preferred player for deinterlacing

I'm trying to find out what people think about software player deinterlacing as from what i'm reading it seems to lag a lot compared to the deinterlacing offered in Plasma/LCD TV screens or progressive scan DVD players.

I'm presently using Media Player Classic either with internal filters or ffdshow and am wondering if anyone finds anything else to offer a far better solution.

you can try vlc, it has many different built in deinterlacing methods and compare one to the other.

I prefer VLC or MPC with DScaler
