View Full Version : preview in subtitle workshop 2.51 does not work

I have done a clean install of XP pro, SP2, but when I try to open a movie in subtitle workshop, i can only hear the sound of the movie and view the sub. When i open the movie in WM 10, Power DVD or Media player classic everything is normal. I really have no idea what's wrong.

Maybe here some guys/girls are familair with this problem?

Try using DivXLand Media Subtitler (http://www.divxland.org/subtitler.php) which uses the WMP control for playback, and it's much easier than SW after all.

SW shows the first few frames in "bitmap" mode, not using the overlay. Then it tries to use the overlay. I can think of why the first mode would fail (had a similar problem in SubRip for hard-subbed avi), but not the second (except if you have another movie open in some other application). You could try to use a different codec, like ffdShow.
