hi, i thought of posting this message to HDTV problems, but then i realized it is more DVD hardware related then HDTV

my friend's Samsung HT-TP75 home theatre system wont read XVid encoded movie captured from digital TV (HDTV), the resolution of the movie is 1440x816, it is quite big, it is on two DVD disks, in .avi, each one is about 4.3GB, so the hole movie is 8.6 GB... the files its self are burned with nero with UDF file system, couse nero other wise wont let you burn bigger files then 2GB, so i am looking for some info. on the Samsung HT-TP75, like what is the max resolution it can play, where can i download official or unofficial updates for the firmware, is it true that no DVD player can read the UDF file system. if someone is familiar with this, pld help:).... if someone has links to somewhere that can help, pls send also. if someone is gonna say::search: pls write to me the words i should use
10x :) :) :)

i don't think udf is the problem but rather the fact that there doesn't exist any dvd-player that would support hd-content yet.

the first dvd-player which should support hd up to 1080 would be the kiss dp-600 but i doubt it is out yet.

so for now it's better to playback the files with a pc or still wait for the first hd-compatible dvd players or even the first hd-dvd players.
