please have a look, (before I start a new thread.)

I have installed both Quicktime & Real Alternative, Media Player Classic and ffdshow.

when I try to play open_season-rev_h720p.hdmov from apple.com, MPC shows an "Apple Sound Media Handler" error and plays the file without sound.
Graphedit refuses to render it.

as soon as I rename open_season-rev_h720p.hdmov to open_season-rev_h720p.mov, MPC plays video and audio.

:S any advice? (thanks!)

split

the problem is you dont have an aac audio decoder. either install coreaac or enable aac decoding in ffdshow

So what can I do?

get rid of mov and remux to mp4 with mp4box/yamb

The problem is, that the current stable MPC doesn't support splitting mov files ... (the next release will !!!)

So you must have Haali media splitter installed and the builtin MPC MP4 splitter, AAC decoder disabled.

It will work!
