View Full Version : Resume ("RSM, button=0") not working in Scenarist

Hi, I'm new to Scenarist with very little training. I'm trying to figure out how to get a "Resume" button to work in my first project.

I have two different versions of the Main Menu, one with Play which starts the feature from the beginning, and one with Resume, which loads if the feature has already been started. I did this by putting a Pre command on the feature setting a GPRM to 1, then a Pre command on the Play menu redirecting it to the Resume menu if GPRM ==1. All the navigation seems to be working fine, with one large exception. I can't seem to make the Resume button actually function. Right now I have the button command set to "RSM, button=0," but when I sim it, selecting the button doesn't do anything. The weird part is that the Information Window displays what I think it should be displaying, but nothing actually happens. This is what the Information Window says:

Info Button-Command 3 : RSM, button=0
Info VMG-VTS "VTS_1"
Info Language-Title "Title_1"
Info PGC "Feature-t-pgc"
Info Program "Feature-t-scn_"
Info Cell "Feature-t-scn__1"

But, like I said, nothing happens. I am still able to navigate the highlight around after I select Resume, but at that point all the other buttons stop functioning too. What am I doing wrong? Help a newbie out!

Thanks,
jdammon

Have you tried building the project and testing it on a software DVD player like PowerDVD?

what version of Scenarist are you using?

Good call! It didn't work in soft or hard sim, but the disc works fine. Is it normal for sim to be so unreliable?

Thanks for your help.

(Incidently, it's version 3)

Let's just say, before you get worried about something not working properly in either of the Scenarist emulators, try a build and an external application. :)
