Hum TPCMP+plugin doesn't work good(the video lags a lot) with a mkv that contains x264 HP+aacplusv2 while it rocks with the directshow filter. I have previously disabled libavcodec to be sure that it will use coreaacdecoder and I have kept only the following files in the tpcmp rep:
aac.plg,avc.plg,common.dll, matroska.plg, interface.dll and player.exe.
Can you check this with the following sample?

mkv container is known problem for coreavc and the player, the only solution so far is to remux to ogm or to some other equaly (or more) versatile container.

With no MKV support (yet I assume) what options do we have to get AC3 audio support?

OK, makes sense. I assume CoreAVC will support MKV it's just a matter of time.

Looks like it's already fixed in the CVS build so it won't get long.

yeah my ogm suggestion was just a stop gap solution, the reason is that picard and co are on CES right now showing off their product so nobody is "at work" so to say, and you won't get fix in a couple of hours, but it will most definitely get fixed very soon (once they get back from CES).
