I have installed ffdshow 2005-11-03 and am using VirtualDub 1.6.11 and VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2.
I am running into some inconsistencies when I try and scan avi's for errors. I'll start off and scan a file in VirtualDub and it will show no errors. I then scan that same file in VirtualDubMod and it will find errors. Both are set to "Report all errors."
I'll then take a file I know is corrupted and scan it in both and it'll show no errors in either program.
I've deleted and re-downloaded both VirtualDub's and have used the versions before the ones I am currently using and still am getting the same results. This is starting to cause me some problems because I've been burning files I thought were okay to DVD and then during playback having a couple frames go all blocky and stutter which throws off the audio track. Is there any other more reliable program for scanning avi files for errors? Or am I just doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.
