I have Intel Pentium IV @ 2.6Ghz and 512MB Ram memory. I used to encode movie with x264. In the frst pass i have averge speed of 15fps and the second pass have about 2fps. I first used profile in MeGui HQ-Slow then i use HQ-Insane and i get same fps. I also tryed to use firstpass settings with subme 1 and also get 2fps. what is wrong

Slow and Insane are slow.
I get the same speed as you on my AMD64 3000+.

well on my 2.2ghz A64 I get 7.8fps first pass 2.4fps on second with HQ-Slow
though I think my resolution is a factor, it's a 1080i source, which I deinterlace and resize to 720p.

By disabling all the filters in avs
I can get around ~2.7fps for the second pass with HQ-slow (720x480)
first pass = ~12 fps
...my CPU is only P4 1.4 GHz
With 720x400 i got same fps but with more blockness
what bitrate do you use? with 700+ kbps with -3,-3, there's no blockiness..... does your source have lots of high motion scene?
