There may be a variety of reasons or they may only be one.... I've ran into it a few times and from searches here, the simplest option is to use HC to encode this movie instead of CCE. I typically use CCE first too and the times it failed, it was with CCE. Re-did it with HC and it didn't run into the problem.

It's almost assuredly a misconfiguration. Post your REBUILDER.INI file. The most likely candidate is the wrong CCE type selected.

Since I've had the same problem, I'll post mine too....

My version of CCE:

C:\Program Files\Cinema Craft Encoder SP 2.7
Company: Custom Technology Corporation
File version: 2, 70, 2, 0
Product Name: Cinema Craft Encoder SP Standalone Edition

@Hallway

Try selecting "CCE Trial" under "SETTINGS/CCE SETTINGS"

I think you picked the wrong one... I don't have a trial version.... Why should I select that ??

Did you try it?

Another possiility is that the files you are trying to encode with CCE are corrupt in some way.

cheers

Well until I hear that he's tried the "Trial" setting... I'm on to other threads.

It might be a couple of days... I don't have anything unless I just try it with a movie for this "test". I'm really not sure where this is going anyway. I've done about a dozen movies with DVD-RB and only two gave me trouble. In fact, I'll probably leave it as it is set until I have a problem.

Well -- that's obviously not the problem if it has worked on other discs. You may want to try reverting the MIN_BITRATE parameter back up to 500. On some early versions of CCE v2.70 a low minimum was known to cause a problem with very high-demand scenes (specifically the HBO white noise screen) -- that's the reason it was originally raised from 100 to 500.

Where it was going, by the way, is that many people think they have a commercial release but are really working with a trial. I just wanted to rule that out -- but without coming right out and saying it.
