Help me understand why alot of people encode to an avi file. Is it so they can store it on their computer to watch? I've run into many gui front ends that supports avi as the input file and many of them dont accept vob. I find it much easier to use the vob file to encode to another format such as mp4. if avi turns out to be a format that is easy to edit what do you recommend from vob to avi. feel free to blow me away with useful info. Be easy on me because i have looked around for answers. :)
