Hey all,
Hey Rockas, you're the man. ;-)
I was reading so much about RME and figured it must be pretty damn useful and so I DL'ed it and have been using it extensively. It works very well and is saving me LOTS of time in comparing movie clips. Definitely an excellent and valuable program.
Had a few questions though:
First, I noticed in the preview/test window, there's a section on the right under the matrices list where you can select which portion of the movie to apply the selected matrix to, and there's an "Update DVD Rebuilder" button. When one clicks this button, is it supposed to automatically change the Quantization matrix to the one selected in RME? I tried it with RB open, and then went into the advanced options, then to the quantization matrices, and the default matrix is still selected: didn't seem as those RME changed the matrix in RB.
My other question relates to the "Update DVD Rebuilder" and "Apply" buttons in regards to using DEEN and applying the settings to the actual conversion process in DVD-RB.
If I go into the "Advanced" settings for Deen, I see that there are some parameters that can be changed. If I change parameters and click the "Update" button, does that then add those changes to the AVS script? Also, once everything is set, and I click the "Update DVD Rebuilder" button, should that automatically set Deen to work with the current movie I'm working on in RB, Or do I still have to go into the filter editor in RB and add:
.Deen().Undot <--also, is that the correct syntax by the way? LOL.
If so, how do I apply the parameters from RME, do I have to type them in by hand?
Finally, I tried using the default settings for deen and it seemed to smoothe out skin for example a little too much for my taste. Can anyone tell me where I can find info on the different parameters, what they mean, and what values seem to work well for RB?
I realize I've asked a lot of questions here! LOL. Hope I've been clear enough. Appreciate all you guys' help in advance. Thanks!
Cheers,
Justin
EDIT: I tried it again (using the "Update DVD Rebuilder" buttons) with RB closed, then reopened RB and it seemed to work. Is it just that you can't update RB while the program is open?
