I have just run into an error I have never had before. I recorded a concert on TV with my HDTV card and converted it to DVD format. Because it was oversize i used DVD-Rebuilder to convert it to dvd5.

After the Preparation phase I clicked encode and CCE v2.70.2.0 took over. The problem is when the first part was supposedly finished DRB came up with an error "No .M2V created" and preceeded to repeat that step over and over.

This is the first time I have used this new release. Previous releases worked fine.

my system is
P4 3.06
1 gig DDR Ram
Asus P4PE motherboard
Samsung 160 gig IDE Drive
Seagate 300 gig IDE Drive
Radeon 9500 Pro video Card
WindowsXP SP2
DVD Rebuilder Pro 1.05.2
CCE 2.70.2.0

Any suggestions please

The problem is that CCE is crashing during the encode.

Try setting:

MIN_BITRATE=500

in the "[Options]" area of the REBUILDER.INI file. That's the only change in this version the might have an impact. CCE v2.70 has been reported to have these kinds of problems before -- but it was a long time ago.

No that doesn't help. CCE isn't crashing. When i click on encode the CCE window opens and shows saving the .vaf file and it shows the file size (I assume the .M2V file) increasing all the time yet it nowhere to be found.

This has never happened before.

Well problem solved but not sure why. I reinstalled 1.05.2 but the problem remained. i then uninstalled DRB completely and intalled DRB 1.05.2 from scratch.

Everything now works.

weird.
