Not on VirtualDub, nor VirtualDubMod.
U need an audio processing tool, try BeSweet (with BeSweet GUI or BeLight).

Hi!

If you are asking if you can convert the audiostream of an .AVI video from .MP3 to .AC3 using VirtualDubMOD - sure you can, to 2 channel .AC3 (NOT 5.1), as long as you have the AC3 ACM codec (or similar?) installed...

@sarmin

1) Load your file into VirtualDubMOD

2) Set "Video" to Direct Stream Copy"

3) Click on "Streams" and then on "Streams List"

4) Right-click on the .MP3 audiostream, set to "Full Processing Mode" and select "Compression"

5) Click on ".AC3" in the left-hand column - and from the right-hand column, select the setting you prefer

6) Save with a new filename
