Hello there, I'm using Gordian Knot 35.0 and XviD 1.03 (Although soon to switch to 1.1 :) ). I'm wondering how to go about choosing my settings in Gordian Knot so I can do 3 passes for that extra bit of quality. Is it possible?

Cheers!

why on earth...
xvid supports only 2 pass encoding. for multipass encoding >2 use divx5/6

Exiztone, for xvid there is no need for more then 2 passes. Even many of the multipass encoders are exactly the same also, such as CCE which i dont believe anyone has proved that more then 2 passes gives any better results.

In my opinion, the idea of "multipass encoding" (for the home market) is nothing more then a marketing ploy for most encoders that have good rate control.
