Not saving subtitles?

I just converted an episode of Will and Grace. I selected "dutch" in the "Subtitle track(s)" dropdown list. The episode was encoded without a problem, picture and audio is great, but I didn't find a file with subtitles.

Is it not saved in the same folder as the avi?

Any help is appreciated.

Never mind... apparently it has something to do with the original DVD (the original subtitles aren't great either, whoever made that DVD should be shot in the knee). When I preview Will and Grace I don't see any subtitles.
I tried it with Skeleton Key and it do see subtitles, so I'm guessing it's not autoGK's fault it seems.
