i've been quite puzzled by ac3 delay in vob.
how does it works?

when i rip ac3 tracks with smartripper, the file name indicates the delay, so it means it's removed?
does virtualdub[mod] remove the delay when extracting the delay from an opened vob?

thank you and bye!

You can use DelayCut to add silence for delay (+), or cut if delay (-), to the ac3 tracks extracted by Smartripper or DVD Decrypter. Remember: the delay or cut must be always 32 ms multiple.

Inside the DVD there are only a info to the player to apply the delay, nothing to remove in the ac3 stream.
