ac3filter and divx create

I installed ac3filter 0.7b bcos the divx create wud not recognize any other ac3 filter. After installation I was able to use divx create to convert my DVDs. however while playback using power dvd the volume level was pathetic. Before installing the ac3filter it was normal sound. Hence I uninstalled the filter. After that my Power DVD crashes when I try to play files with dolby digital sound. Tried reinstalling but still no better.

have u guys faces any such issues with the ac3filter? what are the other ac3filters available which are compatible with divx create.

Without realizing it, you must have uninstalled something other than the ac3filter 0.7b.

If your O/S is WinXP, try performing a "System Restore" back to the last time things were working properly.

Also, on one of the tabs ("System", if I remember correctly) of the ac3filter 0.70b, you can set it to be activated only if no other .ac3 codec/filter can be located...
