Hi

I have 8mm NTCS tape and I want to change it to Pal.

I have use a Sony Handycam TR511E(PAL) to capture analogue video,

and use a MiniDv Sony DCR-HC32E with iLink, to change the signal from analogue to digital.

I use WinDv for capturing the Digital signal.

The result is terrible, I don’t figure out how to correct it.

I have a video sample to show the result.

Here it is: http://personal.inet.fi/surf/ida/

Can somebody please tell me what I should do to correct the video?

I try to change the frame rate with virtualdub but I have no luck.

Thank you in advance for your help

The video looks like if you used wrong timing for the capture. Maybe it doesn't even support 60 Hz video.
First of all, make sure the NTSC tape is played correctly, preferably in NTSC as PAL60 is not supported by many capture devices or drivers.
Then play and capture it in NTSC resolution (usually 720 x 480) and do the conversion in software. AVISynth offers a lot of possibilities for this.
If your hardware doesn't support capturing NTSC sources, you're out of luck.
