help with disk to disk copy

i know this is about cd's but i have a problem copying cd's disk to disk it takes like 15 minutes. that seems too long to me. any suggestions on settings to check???

usin record now
24X cd write and
dvd-rom drive for read drive
2.0GHz P4 Oc'd to 2.8
1GB RAM PC2700
Asus P4P800 SE mobo

and make that 20 minutes????

same ide channels... poor reading speed... etc etc

would take the same time to make an iamge and burn it...

I don't know the software you use, but... are you using direct disk-to-disk copy or could there be a temporary file first created on the hard disk ? (the image Sirber mentioned).
