I am looking for a file splitter that can split a file in exactly half

can be a generic tool .. doesn't necessarily need to be for video files only.

Total Commander (www.ghisler.com) can split a file and if you divide the size in bytes by 2 you got half a file (and a crc file.).

Not really automatic though, in that way.

WinRAR, but in order to split it you have to do the math.

with File Transfer Expert you can extract any byterange from files so first the first half of the file then the second.
