Thanks PhXql!
Can you please kindly add support for Media Player Classic also?
VirtualDub works but MPC give me best result.
Thanks in advance!

erm, nope. sorry. it seems that you can't capture with MPC through commandline. There are no switches to set Device, Channel etc...

the only chance might be to do it with keystrokes instead of commandline.
//edit: maybe you take a software to create keystroke-macros, build your own macro to capture with mpc, put this one into a batch-file and let a scheduler like V2CRS start the whole thing. Might work for you.//
Why do You have best results with mpc and in which way? the latest VDub does a really perfect AV-Sync and if You want to pre-filter, give VirtualVCR a chance...
Olnima
P.S.: If I remember right VirtualDVR ( http://www.virtualdvr.org/ ) is able to send keystroke-macros AND IS a scheduler too, try it out.

Could you possibly edit your thread title and first post with the most current version (and release date)? This would make it easier for users to get info. on and download the latest version.

No I can't. Have a look at "who-wrotes-which-post". I can't edit other people posts.

P.S.: Maybe mods can do that.

Will this program allow me to capture High Def video from my Sony HC3 camera on a schedule? Any hints in the user set up of using firewire? Thanks for your help. :thanks:

If you can capture the video with VirtualDub or VirtualVCR, then you can use V2CRS to schedule this.

Released V2CRS 1.22a which is necessary if You want to capture with newest VirtualDub 1.9.1. and using different profiles.
Because of changed registry-path of newest VirtualDub You have to re-create all your profiles with this version.
As long as phXql did not put a link on ' http://v2crs.sourceforge.net ':

I like it!
Potential Bug: I get the error "Unable to establish existence of the account specified (Exception from HRESULT:0x080041310)" on adding / creating tasks, but the task appears when I refresh the task list.
Vdub 1.9.1, V2CRS 1.22a, XP SP3
Feature Request: Would it be possible to implement a "Kill Task/Process" Pre-action, or is it recommended to execute a .bat containing taskkill?
phXql
10th April 2009, 18:22
Bug: Have you specified the account in the form "Computername\Accountname"? In my case, the user is called Moritz and my PC is named "moe-laptop", so my username will be "moe-laptop\Moritz". Try this, i think that should fix it.
Feature request: Killing tasks can be done very easy by a bat-file with the mentioned taskkill command, please use this solution.
Greetings, phXql

Since changing the Username I've been getting this error on adding tasks:
Access is Denied. (exception from Hresult: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))
and this error on capture

My Windows User Account has no password, if this is useful or telling information.
EDIT: Found the null password bug in the readme, whoops, apologies for my lack of rtfm-ing.
EDIT: Solutions/Checklist For People Who Follow Manual Instructions Poorly
Enter User in the form Computername\Username
Ensure User is currently logged in Windows User.
Ensure User has an associated Windows Password
Before exporting, when setting virtualdub profile (modifying settings in virtualdub -> Device->Device Settings -> Save Current Display Mode) Ensure a capture location is specified (Set Capture Location... / F2)

It's not a bug that accounts without a password are not allowed to run tasks. This is done for security-reasons.
But there is a possibility (Registry-entry) to avoid this behavior. If You want I can look for that.
Olnima
//edit: look for ' limitblankpassworduse ' in registry {HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet\Control\Lsa} and set the value to 0.
BUT - THIS IS HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED !!!
