Sure. You can burn whatever files you like to DVD. avi, word doc, raw XviD stream, it doesn't matter.

But how?

I think there could be a misunderstanding: if you want to play your XviD video with a MPEG4 standalone player it's ok (depending on codec settings), while if your DVD player doesn't read MPEG4, you have to reconvert to MPEG2.
If the question was only about the possibility to use DVD to store your video, then yes..

But how?
there are three possibilities:
1)you just want to store those files: then you can burn them on a dvd like any other type of files,just make a dvd data project with Nero or with any other software you'd like to use;
2)you want to watch them on a standalone mpeg4 compatible player: the same thing as previous,you must burn them as they were data files
3) you want to watch them on a simple dvd standalone player that doesn't support mpeg4/divx files: then you must convert them into mpeg2 format with programs like NeroVision Express or DVD2SVCD (you can find the last in this forum,and it's free)
i hope everything is clear.
