Hello,

This is my first post here. Here's my problem.

I have a few Asian DVD's that will not encode...at all with AutoGK. I've been using AutoGK for over a year now and trying the newest builds every time they come out. Tonight, I tried with the latest version of AtoGK [version 2.26].

I am trying to encode "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance." I bought this DVD from DVD Asian.com and it's Region 3.

I've encoded tons of my other Region 3 DVD's before, and I never had a problem. I use DVD Region-Free when ripping my DVD's.

Well, I tried ripping this particular DVD using DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and DVDFab Decrypter.

These are my options that I choose in AutoGK after I have the DVD ripped to the hard drive...

XviD
700mb
1 audio stream [AC3]
1 subtitle stream [English]
640 maximum width
embedded subtitles
MP3 audio

Here is a screen shot...

In that screen shot, I used DVDFab Decrypter to rip the disc to the hard drive.

I press the Start button in AutoGK and it starts the first process, but when it gets to the Analyzing Source process, it never gets past 0%. I wait all night and nothing. I'm not sure what's wrong.

Can someone pless let me know if there is something I'm doing wrong? I've been using AutoGK for awhile now, and I never have any problems like this. Has anyone else had a similar problem encoding one of their movies?

Oh, I tried encoding to DivX 5 and XviD and nothing works for this movie.

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP1.

If you need more info, please let me know.

Thanks. :)

1) Were you able to successfully rip it using DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4, or did you resort to DVDFab Decrypter because DVD Decrypter v.3.5.4 was unable to rip it?

2) Does the DVDFab Decrypter rip PLAY properly from your hard drive?

3) As an experiment, try using MPEGMediator or MPEGMediator Special Edition to convert

Hi Thanks for replying.

1. Yes, I was able to successfully rip using DVD Decrypter 3.5.4.

2. Yes, I was able to watch the movie from the hard drive after ripping it with DVDFab Decrypter.

3. I'll try using MPEGMediator or MPEGMediator Special Edition to convert it.

Are they free?

Yes - and if you look at any post by "SeeMoreDigital" you'll see a link to download it from http://seemoredigital.net/05_How_to..._Files/MPEG_Mediator_1.5.html
