View Full Version : How do you encode your AC3 files?

I tried using BeSweet GUI but the resulting file's sound is so low. Someones got to have a way to encode to AC3 without losing loudness. If you do have a way to do this please post it. Thank you.

This is a know problem (max output -6 db).
To encode ac3 use a commercial encoder (Sony, Surcode,...), the old Sonic Foundry Soft Encode, or if you need a free encoder (all based in the same library) use HeadAC3he v0.24-a13 by Dark Avenger 15.12.2004, and apply a Global Gain of 6 db.

Where can you get that version of HeadAC3he? I can't find it anywhere, and it's not on the official site.

have you tried Belight?
