usually it worked, but I have change my internal hardrive and reinstall everything, and I can not make it work like before...

and how can u delay the sound for 2 seconds???

any idea?

edited: spent a day to find what is going on with this apend section.I can not figure out why I do not have this fonction. I have downlaoded 2 versions, both are not working.

Your posts are unclear.

1) Are you having this difficulty with VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD?

2) Have you reinstalled your audio codecs as part of your overall reinstallation?

thank you for you answer,
i have virtual dub mode 1.5.10.2 installed.
in the menu I can see : File, edit, video, streams, options, tools, help

where is the audio menu?

when i click on File, I can see Open video Ctrl-o, append segment(no shortcut),....

when i try to apend a segment, the function apend segment is grey(not black), and totally inactif....

on my previous hardrive which is dead now, everything was working correctly when I installed virtualdubmode, so something is missing in my actual installation...

what do I need to install this virtual dub mod software ?

I have media player, divx player, and subtitle workshop,...all work perfectly.
I am not a specialist in all these movie things, I have installed ffshow, and avysinth, and this gordian thing too,...I installed all these softwares to be sure I have the codecs.

where is the audio menu?

Under the "Streams" dropdown menu...

And again, have you reinstalled your audio codecs as part of your overall reinstallation?

There is no Audio menu in VirtualDub(Mod), only in NanDub.

apparently not, I can see Audio menu.
anyway, I have one movie I have join together without any problem, and I have another movie I can not join.
the apend segment is inactif for this one.
what is that?

when i load the first file, it say "parsing interleaving mpeg file",....
is it possible that some file are not "apendable"??

mpeg streams are not appendable. Only avi files.

Ok, so what software do i need to apend mpeg, or can i convert to avi file then apend, what software do i need?

please give me some possibilities how to get around this problem.

so what software do i need to apend mpeg
One choice would be "TMPGEnc" (Different than "TMPGEnc DVD Author"):

TMPGENC>>File>>MPEGTools>>Merge&Cut

Another method would be to open a DOS box (or create a batch file) and type:
copy /b file(1).mpg+file(2).mpg+file(n).mpg file-total.mpg (substitute your actual filenames)

You must convert to avi to be able to append. However, even if you do, you may not be lucky to get it work or notice a desync between video and audio.
See my posts at this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=103621) for more information. :)

This is not correct. Try this: InstantCombiMovie (http://www.go.to/mxtool)

This nice piece of software simply appends mpeg streams. Just check that audio streams are of the same lenght of video ones, or the audio will be shifted during the op. Not a pros software, but.. hey, better than nothing..
