I just installed DVD2SVCD 1.2.3b1 and followed all the instructions for creating CCE Templates. Unfortunately the the CCE Template section is greyed out and cannot be used. I went ahead anyway and started D2sRoba and got through audio extraction and then at the point when CCE was suppose to start encoding it just sits there and stares at me???

I have used DVD2SVCD 1.2.1 and CCE 2.50 before and everything was automatic and I do not have to intervene at all anytime throughout the process.

Am I suppose to be doing something special with the DVD2SVCD 1.2.3 CCE 2.67.0.23 Eccle 1.81 setup????

This same configuration you describe runs here without any problems, so I think you probably made a mistake setting up things.

First of all you did not say if you use CCE SP trial or the full version. Only the trial version needs EclCCE. Assuming you got the trial version, please check the following:

1. EclCCE only works if you run EclCCE.exe at least one time. The first time you run it, it asks for the location of the CCE executable and stores it in its INI file.

2. Start CCE by doubleclicking EclCCE.exe and open the "Template" tab. Do the templates you created show up in this menu? If not, you did somethig wrong while creating the templates.

3. Run DVD2SVCD and open the "Encoder" tab. Make sure that the entry for "Cinema Craft Encoder 2.5" points to EclCCE.exe (NOT to cctspt.exe!).

Good luck!

I have the CCE SP Trial version 2.67.0.23. Yes I have used ECCLE.exe to open CCE many times before DVD2SVCD. I downloaded some CCE Templates and they are showing up as 'Standard', 'Interlaced', 'Progressive'. Also in the DVD2SVCD Encoder Tab it points to ECCLE.exe. The CCE Template section is greyed out. I appreciate your response. Thanks.

Hotdiggidy!!!

I somehow stumbled into a solution of the "Greyed Out CCE Template"
problem! Here is what I did:

I looked inside the EclCCE.ini file in the directory where my CCE was
installed and it had this line:

CCE=ccespt.exe

Anyways, I have a dual boot system with my WinXP on the 'E:' drive
(which is actually the third partition, logical not primary). Somehow I
had the urge to include the whole path, drive, directory and folder to
that line, which I did as such:

CCE=E:\Program Files\Custom Technology\CCE SP Trial Version\ccespt.exe

This did the trick and now the CCE Template section is Ungreyed and accessible.
Now my DVD2SVCD 1.2.3 setup is running smoothly and CCE 2.67.0.23
is on automatic pilot and does not stare at me anymore. LOL! Rock!
All I could surmise is that there is something in the programming which
assumes that CCE is installed in the "C:" drive (which is not the case
all the time).

Eureka, Hallelujah! All this Computerranawhahwhahwhahfuzzerreeze (the term
I want to use when dealing with computer stuff) can be frustrating but at the
same time exhilirating when solve an irritating problem.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations!
But still you are not supposed to doublepost.... :readrule:

Cheers

BTW my EclCCE.ini contains the full path to the CCE executable without having to enter it manually.
