Hello,

When I take a look at some XviD movies, the are most of the time '128kbps vbr mp3' encoded what I can understand. But sometimes the have strange encoded values like 146, 132, 126, 131, 133, 145, 126, 112, 115, 129, 97kbps vbr mp3.

Also ac3 normal 448kbps and sometimes 384, 192 ... kbps ac3

Can somebody explain al these, strange (for me) encoded values?

Thanks in advance :thanks:

Thanks, for your reply 'tebasuna51' ;), I use most of the time 'vbr mp3' for 1CDs and 'ac3' for 2CDs.
Allowed values for mp3 VBR: any value in range 8 - 310 Kb/s
But how can I calculate out best-quality bitrate for 'vbr mp3' XviD, is there some formule or something? Is it better to use a lower bitrate on large movie, and a higher bitrate on small movie?

Thanks in advance
