Hi guys,

I'm new to PgcEdit, therefore forgive me if the questions I'm gonna ask sound elementary...

I have created a complete DVD Slideshow using MemoriesOnTV.
As you know, MOTV is a simple program but easy to use for this kind of things. This means that it is also limited in certain areas.

So, my slideshow has got 4 Menus (better too say submenus):
What I cannot do in MOTV is to have a Menu that acts as a Main Menu, with two buttons links:

- 2002 - click and go to Submenu 1
- 2003 - click and go to Submenu 2 which in turn will be linked to -> 3 and -> 4.

Is there any chance to add Main menu to my existing DVD in PgcEdit?

Second question:

My 4 submenus have 3 button links each, on the right side of every button I have written a text so that I know what refers to what.
The text editor in this case allows me to choose the type of font but not its size.

Any chance to increase the size of the existing text in PgcEdit?

Thanks guys for your patience and support.

Alex

Is there any chance to add Main menu to my existing DVD in PgcEdit?Yes. You need to use an authoring program (DVD Styler (http://dvdstyler.sourceforge.net), DVD Author (http://www.videohelp.com/tools?tool=GUI_for_dvdauthor), DVD Lab (http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/), TMPGEnc DVD Author (http://www.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda.html), etc.) to create your menu and generate the vobs. Then you would use PGCEdit's import menu function. Then use PGCEdit to edit the button commands so they work.

Any chance to increase the size of the existing text in PgcEdit? No. The text is encoded in a MPEG stream and is not editable. But since you going to make a new main menu, why not make new sub-menus?

No. The text is encoded in a MPEG stream and is not editable. But since you going to make a new main menu, why not make new sub-menus?

Well, MOTV allows me to include the thumbnails from the albums in my submenus, I like the idea and I don't want to give up to it.
If I succeed in matching the Main Menu VOB in DVD Lab and then import it into the existing DVD previously created with MOTV, and match them in PcgEdit, I will be a happy man :)

Thank you for your help!

If I create the menu in DVD Lab, how do I generate the VOBS?
I need at least one movie in order to compose a DVD.

Can you tell me a bit more in detail how to handle this process?

Thanks

You have to add a video to make DVD Lab happy. Just include a small mpeg-2 dvd compliant video. It does not matter what it is since you are only going to import the menu.

This guide might help for DVD Lab:

This guide might help for importing menus with PGCEdit:
(Ignore the DVD Author GUI stuff if you are not using it and scroll down for the PGCEdit menu import instructions.)

Hi,

I followed your suggestion and I have created 1 Main Menu and 4 Submenus in DVD Lab, including audio, color highlights etc.

I am now going to try to put them on top of my 22 VTS into PGCEdit, but I have two more questions:

1) The clip I have used to make the menus in DVD Lab, uploads into PGCEdit, once I will have linked all the buttons of the menus to the respective VTS of my DVD Slide show, do I have a way to delete the VTS I created to make the menus in DVD lab? It will be useless if I keep it there.
I tried to delete it, but no success.

2) My menus have 3 frames each, I want to put thumbnails into them out of my slides, how do I do this in PCGEdit?

Thank you for your help.
