Anyone care to share any AVC clips that hit 100% CPU utilizations on their fast PC's on playback (ie: stutter with the later generation CPUs - not Celerons, P3 etc)

Thx

Heh yeah that one gets up there. my Athlon 64 gets between 78-100% usage.

I've found that clip from nerodigital and tried it - its not bad - probably one of the harder clips to decode that is publically available.

I think I will take some of the clips and make my own, but was hoping for something public that others could download and test.

Thx

That clip kept my Athlon 64 3200+ Venice (OCed to 2.25ghz) at 100% the whole time). The video playback was muddy and slow.

Online with 2.4 Ghz and a good optimized codec it will run smoothly on Windows :) but that Sample is still not High Profile HD-DVD quality.

I don't think I've seen any high profile clips yet that are cpu intensive. The few posted in the ATEME thread all ran with low CPU utilization.

I'm going to try x264 and see what changed over the last few months.

I was using FFDshow and Media Player Classic in my previous post.
