When I make backups of my DVDs I usually edit the menu and remove unused buttons, that I don't want to use on my backup. It works great on some DVDs, but I have encountered some DVDs where text appear when moving the selector.
That text must be saved somewhere on the DVD, but I can't find out where :(
Do anyone know where and how I can solve this problem?

The text is most likely in the highlights (i.e., the data that gets shown when you select the button). YOu can check that using SubEdit here (http://www.videohelp.com/~SubEdit/).
But to remove them, all you have to do is go to PgcEdit and remove the button. I think this prevents the highlight from being displayed (by changing the button rectangle)...

Yeah, it's on highlights. I couldn't remember the right word for it yesterday :)
I really can't delete the button, because I edit the menu. E.g. remove french and place it by swedish. So I am using the same spot for the button and the same command that button have.
The hightlight thinghy needs to be saved somewhere.... doesn't it..

It's in the vob file itself, in the subpic packs. That's what SubEdit lets you look at.
If you don't want to delete the button, but remove the highlight, you can change the button rectangle in PgcEdit, but then you won't know whether the button is selected or not! Annoying!
Changing the highlight itself will be difficult, probably not worth it.

@Faxe
You can change the highlights and the background of a menu if you follow this thread: http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=99306 under MODIFY A DVD-MENU WITH MUXMAN.
It looks a bit complicated at first glance, but its easy if you have done it once. I need only a few minutes to modify a menu with MuxMan.
Give it a try.
