Hi
I am totally new into this and I need your help.

I downloaded some XVIDs and want to play on my DVD player which suppoerts divx/xvid
.
Unfortunately some XVIDS are too detailed, too many pixels, 5.1 sound etc, my DVD player says the file has more than maximum resolution 720x576 pixles.

I need to re-encode or convert the XVID file to a smaller size, with less pixles, in stereo sound.

How to do this, what software is needed?
Regards, Mikael

You downloaded the videos....which makes them warez. well sorta..unless they are available for free from the author. however most people here will not help with anything downloaded.
