I ripped a DVD movie with 5 audio tracks. 1 dts, 1 448kbps, and 3 192kbps

The 448 track is what I want to mux with the video file I encoded, however it plays back with choppy sound and you hear mainly pops and cracks with little vocals.

When I muxed the audio and video (before I realized the audio was screwed up) I noticed the video playback was like 3x faster than it would play with no audio muxed.

The 192 streams are fine. Anyone hear of this type of problem with a particular audio stream?

KristenK,
what decoding software are u using (Directshow-based, non-Directshow based, SPDIF output)?
And what muxing soft?
Something might be wrong in the rendering of 5.1 audio (448) if 2.0 (192) renders fine (including video at normal rate?).

I found the answer was pretty simple. The original DVD itself is messed up. All the streams except for the 5.1 ac3 stream play fine. If I force the DVD to play the 5.1 stream rather than DTS stream even in a normal DVD player, the audio plays garbled like it did when I ripped it. The DVD was Big Trouble In Little China Special Edition btw. I'm curious if it's just my DVD (or some other limited number) or if all the DVDs released have this problem.
