Hi all,
Does anyone have experience with this card?
It uses a Phillips SAA7134 chip and a NEC 61152mpeg2 encoder. The NTSC version also has the NEC 3D Y/C chip. It only came with a driver CD, and is intended for XP MCE
My problem is with running this card under Windows XP. This card is intended for use with Windows XP MCE. I can record using Media Portal (http://mediaportal.sourceforge.net/) but not change the recording settings. No matter what I try, I cannot change the mpeg2 settings. I get the impression the interface simply does not exist and that the driverCD only contains the standard Phillips drivers for the SAA7134 part. I already tried graphedit, no luck there.
So my questions are:
- Does anyone have had any success with this card under windows XP or windows 2000, especially with changing the mpeg2 settings?
- Can anyone with experience with Windows XP MCE tell me if it contains a standard microsoft interface for mpeg recording that is used for all MCE compatible TV cards? (and that is not available in vanilla XP)
