Capturing to divx (using ffdshow quantizer 2) at 640x480 NTSC and using a resize filter. I can actually capture directly to 640x480 and only drop a few frames. When I add a deinterlace filter at 640x480 and in the filter list next to the deinterlace filter it says "320x240" and the capture is not deinterlaced. How can I get the filter to recognize the correct resolution.

Hi. Months ago I started an IDENTICAL thread for the same reason..
A few people said to me that the value 320*240 you read is just a default value, and that the filter works with the resolution you have set.
But.. this is not true.
I've found that the only way to make ANY kind of filtering in realtime mode is to use as 1st filter a resize one (this means that also a deinterlace with blend works).
I'm not saying that ALL the filters don't work, because I don't know how they're loaded in the filter chain, but I've A LOT of filters and NO ONE works.
So I've found that for mpeg4 realtime capture if you want to deinterlace you have to use DivX internal deinterlace (terrible results..)..
If anyone has any idea plz post here :)

I was able to correct the situtation by changing the preview pin to 640x480, that is where the filters were getting there resolution selection from. Try changing the capture pin, and preview pin, then restart vdub and see if it fixes it.

I'm happy there's a solution..
The problem is that I cannot enter the preview pin menu because it's gray..
If you have any suggestion I'll be REALLY happy if you'll post it here :)
