I have succesfully used DVD decrypter and DVD Shrink for many months.

But now I am finding that some DVD's show corrupt files only after burning. The files on the hard disk play fine!

The only one common factor is that these DVD's have not needed DVD Shrink as less than 4.3Gb. So I have just burned the two folders to DVD right out of DVD D. But this is something I have done before without any problem.

The other DVD's I am backing up still successfuly need DVD Shrink to compress them for single layer DVD's.

I don't burn with either DVD D or Shrink but with Nero or similar.

Please can anyone suggest what might have changed to cause this.

Thanks
Nigel

P.S. In case I need current decryption standards what is the best replacement for DVD D?

Answering my own question I tried using DVD Shrink, even tho' the DVD was under 4.36Gb and I get a good copy!
As I said before I haven't needed to use Shrink on more than 30 other disks of similar single layer size, just decrypt and burn. But just recently I have had this problem on some 7 disks.
I assume there is a new copy protection included, which Shrink is able to overcome.

DVD Shrink shows corrupt files AFTER burning? Or are you getting errors while trying to open your Decrypter-produced files? If you're seeing "Out of memory" errors while trying to process in DVD Shrink, it's possible that those errors are related to newer copy-protection schemes.

Try ripping your files with DVDFab Decrypter, and report back to let us know what--if any--effect it had with DVD Shrink. Link's below, and it's a free program that's regularly updated.

Best of luck to ya!
